Hello everyone! I wanted to write to you all to tell you about my weekend two weeks ago in Milan and Florence.
After work I made my way to the train to spend the night in Milan because I was seeing Wolf Alice live in concert. Unfortunately I had a few hiccups along the way and had trouble securing a taxi to the venue and ended up missing the first five minutes of the show, but nevertheless I made it, and they didn’t disappoint.

I made my way back to my hostel (shout out to Madama Hostel, the staff were so kind and helpful, I really recommend staying there just for them) and slept for the night because I had to wake up early to catch my train to Florence to meet my dad, aunts and uncle who were spending the weekend there.

After our reunion, we spent time walking around the city before paying a visit to the Uffizi Gallery. I’ve been before but this time I managed to see different parts of the Gallery that I missed the first time, for example this room of sculptures (pictured above). Afterwards we went back to our Air BnB for a little rest and made our way out to dinner and drinks.
Sunday morning we walked around a bit more before visiting the Academia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David amongst other paintings and sculptures. I’ve never been and I’m glad I did because it was an amazing spectacle and something everyone should see. Then we had our final dinner together, although it was really rushed as I had to catch my train back to Faenza.

All in all I had such a fun eventful weekend, despite how chaotic it was and all the travelling I had to do, I wouldn’t change anything about it.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and we’ll hopefully talk soon
Fiona
