As I don’t know what to talk about because nothing interesting has happened to me in the last few weeks, I bring you the recipe for LA TORTILLA DE PATATAS, one of the most typical dishes in my country.


  • 2 Potatoes
  • ½ onion
  • 4 eggs
  • Oil
  • Salt


1- Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them and the onion into thin slices (the onion is optional, it all depends on each person’s taste). Put both in a frying pan with plenty of oil and cook over a medium heat until they begin to brown.

2- While the potatoes are cooking, break the eggs and beat them. Add a little salt and add the potatoes and onion to the eggs.

3- Place a frying pan over a medium-high heat and when it is hot, add the eggs and potatoes. At first we break them a little, as if we were going to make scrambled eggs. When we see that the bottom is set, we put a plate in the pan and quickly turn it over. Put the frying pan back on the heat and slide the omelet from the plate to the frying pan. Let it cook on the other side and then shape it around the edges.

4- The cooking time depends on the person’s taste, you can leave the omelet more or less cooked inside, but the important thing is to turn it over on the plate so that it is cooked on both sides.
