Ciao a tutti! As promised two weeks ago I thought I would write to you to tell you about my most recent trip to Florence.

I took the train in the evening and when I arrived at my destination I walked to my hostel and was reunited with my brother and sister. We spent the evening catching up and resting so we had the energy to explore for the next day.

Our first task of our trip was a walking tour of the city where we saw the city’s main landmarks and they were very easily accessible. All the walking really exhausted us and we spent the rest of the evening with food and drinks and finished the evening at a karaoke bar.

Although we were still exhausted from the previous night’s activities, we made sure to pay a visit to the Uffizi Gallery because my favourite painting, The Birth of Venus by Botticelli is kept there and I had to see it for myself, amongst all of the other paintings and sculptures on display.

Our last day together consisted of us paying a visit to the Gucci showrooms where they had past collections from the past few seasons on display, and I found it so fascinating to see everything up close. We also paid a visit to the Leonardo Da Vinci museum where we saw all of his inventions and how they work. I found him to be a very intelligent man but I was amazed with how many ideas he actually came up with.

We finished our weekend together by shopping and eventually eating and drinking more than what was necessary. Overall I really enjoyed my weekend with my siblings. If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend you do so, although I recommend you book everything in advance beforehand, otherwise you won’t regret it as such a small city has so much to offer.
