Call for volunteers to join 5 different ESC projects coordinated by the same organisation Maison de l’Europe. Their purpose is to promote an active citizen involvement and to contribute to bringing closer European citizens in order to have a better understanding of other cultures.

LET’S LIVE EUROPE rural areas in France
This project will involve 6 volunteers from 6 European Union countries. Each one of them will volunteer in one of the 6 local training centres for teenagers from the surroundings of Le Mans, within the region Sarthe, France. The local training centres where the volunteers will work are called: the “Maisons Familiales Rurales” or MFR (literary translated as the “rural family houses”) that hosts young pupils who have difficulties with the French traditional school system and who are looking for a new way of learning.

THE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL “Lycée Professionnel Joseph Roussel”
The technical college of Le Mans is looking for its next European ambassador in the form of an ESC volunteer. The volunteer will be involved in the various activities of the college, for instance in promoting Europe and their country among students, helping the college to connect with other schools, working on mobility programs and on some common projects with the other European volunteers.
The volunteer will stay in: Le Mans
Pocket money: €390
Cost of travel to and from the project is covered
The association is looking for a volunteer to be their European ambassador. The volunteer will be involved in the various activities of the association, for example in promoting Europe and talk about their country, culture in primary schools, leading workshops about their country and culture with local children, managing external communication and working on some common projects with the other European volunteers.
The volunteer will stay in: Le Mans

LEAD INTERCULTURAL ACTIVITIES with the people of Sablé-sur-Sarthe
The Municipality of Sablé-sur-Sarthe is looking for a person to lead intercultural activities. The volunteer will be involved in the various activities of the municipality, for example leading activities and workshops in primary and middle schools, helping out in after-school, supporting the preparation of public events and working on some common projects with the other European volunteers.

BE PART, TAKE PART TO THE ACTIVITIES of the Municipality of Le Mans
The town is looking for 2 volunteers to support them in 2 different roles: working in the child and youth service(1) and in the event and external relations service(2). Depending on the role there are different activities the volunteers will be involved in, for example in proposing after school activities to the children of primary schools and helping to organise youth activities, events or assisting the team in the creation of communication tools going to welcome new
residents and tourists and working on the development of new partnerships with future twin towns.

All of the projects start in September 2021 and lasts 11 months.
