Familija – Educational and therapeutic center from Škofja Loka, Slovenia is planning to apply a new long-term volunteering project named Kids in Action 8 – United in Diversity. The duration of the proposed project activities is 12 months (September 2021 – August 2022). The main idea is to integrate 5 volunteers (3 has already been chosen) from different European countries into the work of different organisations from the Škofja Loka area, Slovenia, which are active in the field of youth work, social care and education (4 daycare centres for children and youth, project learning for young adults, daycare centre for people with minor mental disabilities, 3 schools, 1 residential home for children at risk). The volunteers will have their own basic work place, but during the project period, they will also have an opportunity to experience the work of other project partners and to realise their project within other local organisations to strengthen their involvement in the local society.
